DPMS used to use the standard AR15 bolt catch. They have since started offering a LR308 specific catch. Both SHOULD work. The LR308 uses a set screw to hold the bolt catch not the standard AR15 roll pin.

Isn't the mag catch different? Not the button, but the catch itself.

Isn't the mag catch different? Not the button, but the catch itself. They didn't used to be that I could tell. They may have changed it like they did with the bolt catch. I do not know for sure. The Armalite AR10 mag catch is slightly different but the AR15 model will work in the AR10. |

shrikefan, here's a link to the only place I could find to get the lr-308 specific lower parts kit. It's 25 bucks & comes with the front & rear takedown pins the bolt catch wich is larger than the AR-15 & the special threaded bolt catch pin.

Only four parts are different than a standard AR-15 LPK. Front and rear pins, bolt catch and threaded bolt catch pin. I ordered these parts individually from DPMS, it took a few weeks but I got them. Fulton Armory also has LPKs for the DPMS (same as their FAR rifle) with or without the trigger parts. I ordered 2 and got them within 2 weeks.
