Panther Arms is DPMS, they've always been marked with a 'D' IME.
I've never seen an upper that was actually marked with the company like Colt or Bushmaster, only the forge mark of whoever made the original forging. Are you sure the barrel has a 'P' and not an 'F' or a 'B' that wasn't stamped completely? |

Maybe it's just the picture, but the upper appears to have regular hard-coat anodizing, DPMS normally uses a teflon coating. None of my DPMS uppers have a marking at that location.
The 'P' on the barrel could indidate Pac West Arms. That flash hider is just a plain A2 flash hider. Just like DPMS, Bushmaster, Colt, FN, USMC, USA, USAF, etc. use. |

FYI. Pac West Arms never made nor sold barrels while they were in business.

The split "A" is actually AH=Anchor Harvey Forging corp. That's who the upper was made by.
