Im debating on painting a AR with Duplicolor "Mirage". Upper,lower,barrel forearm. but before i start was wondering how many of ya'll would think it would look good or like crap? In case your not sure what "Mirage" is heres a link.

Some paints don't hold up well to exposure to chemicals such as bore solvents.  Some have a nasty habit of melting and bubbling when you really heat up the barrel, dumping a few mags.  I have no idea what the Duplicolor will do, but there's not much you can put on you can't strip off later.

well this gun im doing wont be shot rapid fire ever. Its gonna be a paper puncher/coyote gun. so im not too worried about heat issues. but i appreciate your reply/info.

I wonder how well the Birchwood/Casey paint holds up then? I used the flat black to cover a ugly scratch on the barrel
