I'm sorta having the same problem. When I close the upper, after putting in the fron tpin, the upper and lower come into contact about a inch or so back form the front pin. Then I have to force them closed.
It's seem like the fron ttake down pin may be too low. I'm thinking of reaming the bottom of the takedown hole on the upper a little. |

Have you tried to just lubing the piss out of the rear lug and the back of the receiver channel and given the top of the upper receiver a good hand slap to set it.
The RRA receivers are tight as hell out of the box, and you need seat the upper to lower this way a few times until they mate together (read a few live fire sessions and the two will fit together cleanly without any slop). Note: if you do get the upper and lower to seat together, and find that the upper rear lug hole is not aligned with the receiver rear take down pin hole, you will want to slowly use a file and enlarge the upper lug hole where needed only. |

i did try lubing and forcing them together,but no dice.its still too tight.There are friction marks on the rear lug of the upper where you can tell it was being forced.Im just looking for others who might have had this problem with an olympic stop sign lower,and what they did to remedy the problem.

Some of the problems I have seen were the rear lower and upper pin holes not lining up front to back a little bit. Also saw one the front pivot hole was to close to the mag well and the upper receiver lug would bind against the lower as it was being closed or opened.
Are you sure something else is not stopping it from closing? |
