i need to pick up a few mags, but i'm familiar with which mags to avoid(if any) and which are the "good" ones.

i'll pass on the "which mags are the best" question, and instead ask, are there any names to avoid when talking ar mags?

In short, buy USGI (a multitude of options in the EE) & avoid USA, ProMag, & Triple-K brands...

I prefer the D&H grey Teflon Mags with Magpul followers from
44mag.com an awesome dealer.

Yep. I've ordered from them more than once -- good folks and that is a good deal.

D&H mags from 44mag is a great deal. 10 for $100.00 unless you add magpul's. Also C Products is highly recommended as well.
