Well, this is my first post here . . . ever.

I would also like to know an answer to the above question.

I just started buying pieces for my first AR-15. I just ordered a RRA full lower w/ match trigger, full M4 upper, and tactical stock. Now, all I need is a barrel & barrel accessories (after the sunset), sights, and magazines.

Great site, I've been reading for hours upon hours the last several weeks.

M.L.

edit: well I just found this site HERE

Hello.

I sent an email to DPMS last week (see below). The LE magazines at DPMS currently sell for 16.00 (30 rounder) 16.50 (20 rounder)DPMS LE Mags. I hope this helps you in your search and answers your question a bit. I would welcome other postings and insights.

QUESTION TO DPMS:

Will you be selling new AR15 mags to the public at the current LE only price (or near it) after 9-14-04?
___________________________________________________
ANSWER:
Blair,
If the ban does sunset, we will be offering the high cap mags to the public at a price that is a little higher than the LE price. I checked with my manager and he said that we don't have a set price yet.
Please watch our web store for the price change.
If you have any questions feel free to contact us,

Thank you,
Shane C

Why is DPMS gonna sell them to us lowly peons for "just a little more"? Does it cost more for them to sell them to a non LE? I guess I'll never understand economics

Try: amoncrie@bellsouth.net

I just bought 40 new USGI 30 rounders for him. Made by Okay w/ green followers. $10.95 ea

Excellent guy to deal with. Very professional. Emailed me when he recieved his payment and gave me an ETA for my mags. Please read his "business policy" in regards to recieving payment within 10 days of ordering from him!

I'm not sure if he is taking pre orders for AWB sunset. Be aware mags will probably sell like crack coated sugar cookies after the ban so best have you financial affairs and/or credit card ready soon!

His name is Kurt and he is located on the EE.

Newbe:

Thanks for the lead. The price for pre-bans looks good.

All:

I am still looking for good sources for new post 9/14/04 mags. The ones listed above for 10.95 look interesting but if I can get new springs and new mags for a similar price.... ... any other sources? .... suggestions?

Sorry dude. I should have been a bit more specific. The $10.95 ea price is for the NEW M16 mags. These are marked with a date stamp and have the LEO/MILITARY markings. These are NOT preban mags.

I have a FFL.

I don't see why Kurt would not keep the $10.95 price tag for everyone after Sept 14. But that is entirely up to him. Just email him and ask.

NIW Pre 1994 mags are currently selling for $18 -$20 in the EE.

I dont see 1994-2003 LEO marked mags, or post 2004 new production selling for significantly less. the days of $3.00 -$7.00 USGI NIW mags are probubly long gone.
Link Posted: 9/12/2004 9:24:18 PM EST
moncrie has NIW Okays for $10.95
