finaly picked it up from local fun shop, just got done cleaning and lubing it. Much nicer weapon than my old DPMS. was takeing some pics and decided to throw in my carry gun. its dirty I know, its been in my freakin pants all day.I just took it out of the holster and slaped it on the table. then added the Dillo too.

What's so great about the M&Ps, I wasn't around when they were released and they seem very popular now. Last I checked S&W wasn't the standard in ARs.

ETA: Fixed wording.

Do you have any good articles to read about the M&Ps, I am interested, I wasn't trying to be rude.

I remember some issues posted on this forum when they first came out. I don't recall specifics, but there was more then one. That was a some time ago, no worries today.

I think the first runs were not built by Smith and they had some problems. since then they have move production in house and have fixed the issues. there is a serial number break where they were moved in house and now the bolt is stamped "MP". I did a search on it and found the # break before I bought one, and looked for the bolt stamp. so far it seems like a quality rifle. more so than my DPMS.

Correct, Pat Rogers did T&E for Smith & Wesson, gave them feedback and now they machine most everything in house instead of contracting. They are light years ahead of DPMS as far as quality is concerned. S&W is solidly in the top of the mid tier AR market.

S&W MP15

I wasn't familiar with the S&W when I first got it, but it has been flawless! I love it....

LMAO! That's funny right there.

Or, you could build your own for less with top tier parts.
