Any chance of getting a tower for the drum mags compatable with the new stainless feed lips?

Please Jesus, make them easier to load.

I'm about to drill and pin mod some mags that I have but they are the opaque ones.
It would be great to have a schematic or some accurate dimensions of where the follower lies when they are fully loaded.
The ones on your website with the thumb assist are perpetually OOS.
All of the mags I have run great and the lips are holding up fine.

prob can do that in the future, now that I have developed the stainless feed lip and its in production give us lots of new ideas. But I have never got back a drum as a return with a broken feed lip. those towes are a glass filled material and very strong.

I agree the drum towers are very strong.  I have 2 drums and they are flawless.  I just wanted the stainless because it looks cool.

It would be great to have a schematic or some accurate dimensions of where the follower lies when they are fully loaded.

On the CMMG mags I drilled, with the follower fully depressed the hole needs to be drilled 3/4" from the back (measured from the rib) and 1 1/4" from the bottom.

But you know how that goes. Your tape measure could be a little different from mine.
Drill a hole in on side, push the follower down and use a scribe or something to mark the depressed follower. Take the follower out and see if it's in the flat part of the follower. If it is, put it back together, depress the follower, and drill through. If not, adjust.

You need to put this on your forum site. There are a few of us who still go there and check for updates. Good to see you back.

I like the G.I. looking mags. The removable feed tower will be great. Will these use the same followers/springs as the gen 3?

I don't know if you call the easy load system on the 3rd gen mags a high priced gimick and add on but I like it.  I also like the higher capacity.

These look great! ETA on sale? I've been holding off on buying any more of the first gen ones (without a follower pull down) because they re so damn hard to load.

I'd certainly buy these straight from you.

I am impressed with your innovation and response to customer feedback. You sir are an inspiration to the industry and the best of luck to you.

As an aside, I'm still running an original Beta mag in my V-22, and it's fine, albeit now with a BHO follower, plus 4 others. I don't know what some of the guys on here do to their mags, I've always hand loaded mine due to the uncertain quality of rimfire ammo, never found it difficult.

OK now for the $64 question.................. Will any of these mags work with a Colt conversion unit?

my x form magazine body mold will be done today and we will test shoot it tonight or in the morning. we are doing the final assembly of the mold tooling now. I will chime in when I have the first samples in my hands hot off the press. All of the components are on standby ready to go together, stainless feed lip castings in stock as well.
samples go out next week, orders the week after.

A photo of the whole mag would be nice please.

Andy.

Kevin, if you would send copies of this magazine to Shadowcop, Forever4 and I, we would be happy to do
an impartial test and evaluation... As in the past...

Thank You for your consideration..

No, the S&W uses a proprietary magazine.

These magazines were designed to work with Atchisson Compatable Conversions
and Uppers. I don't believe they'll work with anything else. I believe it was the Gen 3's
that were also able to work for Colt and DPMS Conversions too. Kevin, please correct me
if I'm wrong...

yes spec, thats the plan. You will like it and everyone will like the "standard classic look" that I elected to stay with

The classic look is good for many. I wonder however if the follower could have been made a bit longer to work the BHOA that CMMG has devised? Don't know if that would step on anyone's patent or not. Or, would the longer follower not allow this magazine to properly function in some of the other firearms, like the Sig, that it fits.

Anyway, the .22 AR market has bloomed and its getting the good products it needs. The old plastic magazines were good but I for one had too many of them crack. Guess I shoot too much. (Is that possible? )
