anything nc star is usually janky, bro...if its not too expensive, then i guess it wouldnt hurt to give it a try, but my broke ass experiences with nc-star are rather dis-heartening to say the least...they make em outta bullshit and whack.

NCStar is garbage. Avoid at all costs. Save up and get something better off the EE.

the thing i hear about NCstar is they are hit and miss as far as quality control goes.

I would never buy one.

if you are in the market for a budget optic

go with PRIMARY ARMS.

that is the only place you can trust as far as budget optics go.

They are a joke, my friend purchased one that sounds a lot like what you are looking at. We mounted to his AR with the integrated mount and the reticle was completely crooked. save your money and run with irons for the time being.

+1

NC Star optics are toys best left to the airsoft industry. If you're looking for a good optic on a budget Primary Arms is really the only way to go. The Primary Arms optics are no replacement for a critical use sight - you're best served saving for the real deal if you ever intend to depend on it to defend your life - the folks at Primary Arms are clear about this and it's why they sell optics from Aimpoint, EOtech, Trijicon, Nightforce, etc. along side their own. The Primary Arms glass fantastic for recreational shooting and worth consideration for training use (so long as you have BUIS to fall back on). They provide great budget optics and stand behind their products. They provide fantastic customer service too - among the best in the industry.

I have several Primary Arms optics. I use an EOtech on my defensive carbine but, for several firearms I use for recreational shooting / range use I've been using Primary Arms glass for a year or so without issue. I have three scopes (1.5-4x / 4.5-14x mil-dit / 4-16x mil-dot) a Micro Dot red dot sight, and a flip-to-side magnifier. I also had a Primary Arms M4 style red dot sight for a while - until a friend talked me out of it while PA was out of stock. All have been durable / reliable and all have held zero. I'm also using Primary Arms mounts / rings for all of these sights and the mounts have all provided a reliable return to zero when removing them and placing them back on the weapon each is mounted on.

If you have to go with a budget optic definitely go with Primary Arms.

NcStar is a joke, as is BSA, as is Barska, Leapers, Simmons, Mako Group or any other optic you find for under a hundred bucks.

Drop it once and it will cease to function. Then try getting it repaired under warranty. LOL.

Bought a NC Star for my GSG-5

Man it rocks.

Holds zero all day long

Until I actually mount it on the firearm.

Then it just looks Tacticool.

I made the mistake of getting an NC Star red dot for my 10/22 and it didn't hold zero from trip to trip.  It does work on the airsoft gun, which is about all it's good for. save your money.
