im leaning toward the 6-9, is it easy to use that with the 30 rd mags? or should I buy some 20 rds with it?

I've been thinking about switching to the 6-9 from the 9-13. Do you pics with the 6-9 and a 30 mag prone? wondering how much room there is.

The benches at our range are high enough that I have to run the 6-9" at the 6" end and that's definitely not high enough for a 30-round mag but the 20s work fine. I haven't tried it prone with the 9" setting, but it would probably be enough. Mine is not the swivel, which I think would add a little bit to the height.

6-9 harris

non swivel, non notched. I'd suggest going with the 9-13 though, a 30rnd mag doesn't work well with the 6-9.

edit: it DOES work, but I'd prefer a little extra height.

i have the 6-9 and shoot only with 30 rnd mags and do probably 90 percent of my shooting from a bench with it never have had a clearance issue and 20 rnd mags cost way too much. i just measured mine with 6-9 fully extended, 30 rnd mag and rifle level there was exactly 2.5 inches from mag to floor. Plenty of room.

but if you are using ranger plates, that makes the clearance even smaller...

what kind of forend/tube and mount are you using?
