I had one, it was a very nice scope. I didn't like the exact reticle mine had, but there are others available.

I have a VX-III in 1.5X5 with a 30mm tube and the Garman #4 illum. retical. Its mounted in a Larue mount. This is a great setup! Had this mounted on a AR-10 Carbine for short time.

I have one. Very clear optics, sturdy, and light. The SPR reticle can be used close quarters on 1.5 by placing the circle on target. Longer ranges use the crosshair. You can shoot very fast and close at low power the shoot very accurately at long ranges. The only complaint I hear is that the lighted reticle is not visible in daytime. This is true. But, if its bright enough to wash out the lighted red, then you should have no problems seeing the black. However, i don't think it would be a good optic for indoors scenarios like entering houses. I think you could lose the retical going from dark to lighted rooms and with flashlights, etc.
