could someone post side by side pictures of the many circles and std production buttons?
and specify the differences?
i can't tell the difference, probably obvious once pointed out.

Hya Hotdog,I may be able to post pics later as I have some,,but have to sort them out.But for what it's worth,what I look for in them is this: the many circle buttons have 5 rings above and below the threaded hole,later ones have 4.The many circle rings tend to be more of a rib that goes straight down with very little taper at the bottom,later ones taper noticeably.And lastly,at least on the ones I have,the late ones,when you look at the ring on the left and right of the threaded hole,they tend to be "shaved" due to the flat sides of the button.The many circle ones have 1 full ring then the 2nd ring is the one that is shaved. Not saying this is bullet proof info,,but it is what I look for.

Top is a HeatNBeat repro, middle is a current production ArmaLite, and bottom is a current production DPMS (which isn't standard, I believe).







The first two seem to back up everything that m1sniper stated.

PLEASE NOTE,I'M NOT SAYING THIS IS ABSOLUTE,BUT IT IS WHAT I WAS TOLD BY A VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE MEMBER AND IT'S WHAT I LOOK FOR Many circle on left,later (gray) on right.
