I USED to use metal MagPul magazine couplers. But now I have a Skeletonized Blue Force Gear Redi Mag.

Here's my story, I was practicing mag changes with my mags in a coupler... But I dropped the mags... = disaster. If it was the real deal and I picked the mags up, the top round could've pushed forward enough to the point that the mag wouldn't go into the magazine well. Or the mags could've been dented or cracked beyond being functional.
So now I take purchase on my full, fresh mag, depress the mag release, the empty mag falls free and the full mag is released from its holder and easily slid into the magwell. just my .02

+1 for CAA, love mine. The ones with nylon straps suck. I looked at the Redi-Mag but it's heavy and expensive, and I saw a couple videos online of guys who had them drop mags at the wrong moment, plus it's an add on to the gun itself. I'd rather just clamp my mags together.

Question for the CAA coupler guys...do you have to stagger your mags when they are connected?  I've seen pics and it looks as though the bottom of the mags are even with each other...if so, is the dust cover resting on the top of the right-hand magazine and will it interfere with ejection?
