Call Quantico Arms. It's not on their web site. You will have to call. I got a green colored cotton sling from them just like original USMC issue back in the day. http://www.quanticoarms.com/

I called Quantico Arms last week and asked for a "USMC issue loop sling" and they told me they only carried the new tac slings (3-points and 1-points) and suggested a surplus store.

Another member here had suggested this sling at Iron Brigade Armory. I also found this sling at CDNN. Neither specifies material. Do you know if the "M14" one at CDNN is the same length as the "M16" one at IBA?

CDNN also has this sling which I believe is what the Army issues (the so-called "silent sling").

The most common Viet Nam sling was the standard, run of the mill cotton M1and M14 sling still available everywere. My sources tell me the nylon one was also used but in much fewer numbers.
