Just wondering what the average life you guys get out of them before you start noticing it effecting accuracy. I was reading some xm8 propaganda saying only 6000 - 9000 rounds, and after going to the range and blowing off 500 rounds in 2 hours i was like hmm, does this mean i only have 11 trips left using this rifle??

Anyway, just wondering what your actual first hand experience is rather than the HK numbers.

The military averages 10K per barrel (that's an average between barrels that run mostly semi, and some that run heavy full-auto). Bushmaster has noted 20K is not uncommon for semi-auto guns.

I don't mean to hijack your thread. What signs would one look for to know that the barrel needs replaced?
