Ok gang, who has the best prices for these great scopes?  Either the 4.5-14 or the 6.5-20

I just got a 4.5x-14x LR M1 with a Gen II Mil-Dot from premierreticles for $839.  It is an outstanding piece of glass.

I think I paid about $650-$675 for a 4.5-14 through SWFA.  Love it!

C4 is a good dealer. My Varminter wears a Leupold I purchased from him...

If you are willing to make the drive north to Kesselring's ((360) 724-3113), just north of Mt. Vernon, WA, then they might be the best bet.  Give them a call with the exact model number you are looking for.  They are one of the largest dealers in the CONUS and their prices are hard to beat.

Otherwise, I second C4.  He is superb.

C4's price seems pretty damn good on the current models.

You may check with [red]ArmyInf[/red] here on the EE and see if he has any discontinued models on his radar.  They can be had for hundreds less, not everyone can get them.

I bought {3} 3.5-10x40mm Illuminateds for a song in the last year.  They were the previous model with the intensity dial at 12 o'clock vice the 2 o'clock current model.

www.bearbasin.com has much better prices on the Leupold stuff than SWFA.

ID Hunt, Oh Yeah Baby! that 4.5-14x LR must be one nice scope!   I have the comparatively small 3.5-10 Tactical (1" tube) with mil dots on my 308 NorCal precision built bolt-action and it is super.  I might like a bit more magnification at times, but it shoots so good as is is I hate to change anything.

Just last week I fired a 1.25" 5 shot group from prone at 300 yards in a stiff wind.  It was mostly luck on the wind call, but this setup will shoot!

BillSP1,

The rifle for this one is still in the works.  It is a Rem 700 With an AICS 1.5 stock and a Rock 5R barrel.  It will be topped with the 4.5-14x LR M1 with badger rings and bases.  My PSS wears a MK4 M3 Mil Dot with badger rings and bases.  It is one shooting SOB of a rifle.  when doing my part I can get .25" groups at 100.  I haven't shot for groups past 100 but have scored hits on 8 oz milk cartons out to 600 yards and even the misses are close enough to scare them too.  I still need more work at reading gusting winds.

I did price checking on a lot of vendors and the prices didn't vary that much - I purchased from SableCo back in March and thought their price either beat all others or matched, plus the service was great.  V-XIII 4.5 LR M1 Tactical is an awesome scope.
