I am refinishing 34 mags....I noticed one of them has a several large dents starting at just over half way down the body I cant work them out and it catches the spring so I want to cut it down and make me  a hunting mag since I dont have one.

so how long in inches are thease shorter mags and how many coils in the spring as im going to cut down the spring is well......any help will be greatly appreciated.

My 5 rounders are the case of the 20 rounders but only hold 5 rounds, makes it easier to hold onto the mag while steadying your rifle. They are 5 inches in the back of the mag, and 4 1/2 inches in the front. Measured from top of mag to bottom. I also have some 5 round flush fits, but for that, just measure your mag well. As for spring count, I don't know. Don't know how to take-down my mags.
