Figured you all might find this interesting. AN AR with a suomi drum mag.  This looks sweeter than the sten mag conversion that I've seen.  Also it looks like it would be more affordable that the colt 9mm setup.  I am not sure of specifics but emailing Vic about this might get more details.  Oh and here is a link to the site (unfortunately it is still under construction)  http://www.tommy15.com/  

I do believe he is incorrect when he claims that the Suomi is the only 72rnd drum for the 9mm setup.

Umm.... he's lying to you unless they are never-before-seen toolroom prototypes of some sort. Colt never made any production drums for the M16/9 (i.e., 635 SMG).

C&S Metallwerkes came up with the concept of welding Suomis to feed towers made from factory mags. Other producers included MMAG, who made the two I use with my 635:
