i finally bought my first AR15 TODAY. I HAD MY CHOICE OF ALL THE DIFFERENT MODELS. MY DEALER (CAPITAL GUNS & GOLD IN STOUGHTON WISCONSIN ) HAD ALL THE DIFFERENT BRANDS IN STOCK TO CHOOSE FROM. I WENT WITH THE 16 INCH FLAT TOP ROCK RIVER ARMS. 665.00 PLUS THE TAX. HE HAS A GREAT SALE ON ALL BRANDS RIGHT NOW. **** JUST WANTED TO THANK EVERY ONE ON THE SITE FOR GIVING ME ADVICE ON BRANDS TO CHOOSE FROM. I WENT WITH ROCK RIVER ARMS BECAUSE THERE FACTORY IS ONLY 2 HOURS FROM ME. REALLY I THINK THE BUSHMASTER, ARMALITE, DMS, OLYPIMIC ARE JUST AS A NICE A GUN. ROCK RIVER ARMS PRICE WAS TO GOOD TO PASS UP. I AM GOING TO GET A ARMALITE MOUNT FOR MY 3 X 10 X 50 SCOPE. CAN NOT WAIT TO SHOOT IT. I AM AFRAID I HAVE THE AR15 FEVER. !!!!!!!! MARTY

congrats on the new rifle...I just picked up a RRA lower today as a matter of fact. Now, you better go out and look for a second job, 'cos you're gonna need it hehehe. Optics, mounts, new buttstocks...they all cost $$ [:D]

Nice buy! RRA offers excellent value. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I'll second those thanks! I've been on the board for a couple months, and just this last week picked up an RRA chrome-lined M4gery put together by Pete in NH (e.g. Legal Transfers). Without this site I wouldn't have known where to start, and certainly wouldn't have ended up being as informed and excited about my new rifle.

Congrats on your purchase! Damn, that's a great price as well. I picked up muy RRA CAR UTE last Thursday, & I have 400 rounds through it. So far it REALLY likes PMC 55gr, and shoots the S&B 55gr pretty darn good, too. I am now obsessed...welcome to the disease!

Congrats on the purchase. I would recommend your first addition to your new rifle be the RRA NM trigger set. Of course what will follow after that can probably be described as an insane journey of aftermarket product bought from gunshows, gun auctions and the internet. You will spend all of your freetime looking for the elusive $35.00 battle pack.... Or maybe that's just me? It's all been a blur since the purchase.

Hmmm, my CAR UTE came stock with the RRA 2-stage trigger...I was under the assumption that ALL RRA's came with that trigger. Mine breaks at a nice, crisp 3.25#
