guys how do you tell if its cast or not? its says panther on it. and inside the trigger guard it appears to an forged area that the machining didnt get, but that may be just me not knowing for sure.[

Other than the serial number, are the other markings on it inies or outies?  If raised, lettering, model number, etc, it is cast.  If stamped in, it is a forged receiver.

thanks man its forged then.

going to built me an ar for 300 bucks. thats my goal. it may be a fantasy, but hell, i live in one. lol
