picked up some imi 55 grain fmj at local store for 6.99 a box with 30 rounds in each box. they had nine boxes so i bought them all. how did i really do?

At the local store around here XM193 goes for $5.99 a box of 20. And the 30 rounds of guat. goes for $9.00 a box of 30.

FWIW, I picked up the IMI 30 round M855 in the brown kraft boxes for $11 at the last show. It was a little high but it's been years since I've seen them. I got the only 5 boxes that were there.

If you like the manufacturer (and the consensus seems to be that IMI is GOOD), then go by the per-round cost. Your purchase was a little over 23¢ a round, and that's pretty good for today's market. A year ago, you would have overpaid at this price.
