Tell me what you think (sorry for the crappy pic, Mfingar I am not!). After about 2 years and a couple grand later, this is probably my dream setup. Some info about the project;

BASICS:

-LMT lower w/ SOPMOD and Magpul Miad
-CMT upper
-Novekse 10.5" SS coated black w/ FSB (done by Mr. Noveske himself)
-CMT "matching bolt"
-LMT carrier
-Larue 7.0

LIGHT:
-Surefire M952XM07 w/ Larue upgrade

OPTICS:
-Eotech 512 on Larue Mount
-LMT BUIS

SUPPRESSION:
-AAC M4-1000

And of course the Tango Down grip. The shirt is a "Stops Jihad on Contact." I can't wait to get this out to the range!

I've been thinking about a MK18 type SBR myself. Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt the MK18 a 10.3" bbl?

Either way, you have one slick setup!

Great looking set-up, rcoers

I really like the fact you didn't cut corners.  Top shelf parts make a top shelf rifle.

Congratulations........two-thumbs up!

I think you are correct. I know this build is off on a couple of other aspects as well, IIRC the MK18 uses an Aimpoint, KAC rails, and a KAC suppressor. I already had the Larue and Eotech, and a local dealer had the AAC in stock so that's what I went with.

Like I said, I'm no Mfingar - but here is a couple:

And another w/ the AAC:

Does anyone recommend a buffer for this setup? Right now it's just a standard buffer that came w/ the lower.

Per Noveske's website they recommend a H2 buffer w/ a 10.5" barrel.
by the way that is the exact same color paint in my office.

I would use a Colt H3 Buffer from Specialized Armament.  Part Number SA07006; Buttstock, Buffer Assembly – Commando, H3 (3).  Price $75.

An H2 should run just fine, but a H3 might be a better buffer, if you run the suppressor most of the time.

I actually use an Enidine buffer on my suppessed 10.5" SBR, and like it alot. YMMV

What about a 9mm buffer?

Wouldnt hurt to try it. But it will depend on what your SBR likes. Not all SBR's run the same, so I would try as many buffers as you can to see what it likes.

You need to find a buffer that will allow you to run suppressed and non-suppressed.

If your local to Indy, I can loan you an Enidine, H2 and a RRA 9mm buffer.

My info is a little misleading, Noveske put the upper together for me. When I ordered it back in November he said that he didn't have the capablities to coat barrels, but that he could make it happen. I'll send an e-mail out to him and ask where he had it done. My guess is KG.
