Russian is my second language, so I know that the above two posters are wrong.

Pyervee Parteezahn.

Первый Партизан

A lot of English speakers find the "ye" sound right after a consonant hard to do. Imagine a P directly in front of "year".

Remember to roll your R's.

The "ee" sound in and Partisan is made by the и letter. It is an "ee" sound that is shortened. The "ee" in Prvi is ый, which is like an "iy" sound as in how Forest Gump would pronounce "pretty" or "nasty": it is more held-out.

Pronounce the "s" in partisan like a z, and remember that the a has a sound like in "father"

I tried following your instruction but no dice.  It sounds like I'm trying to speak French with a German accent.

They also refer to the company as PPU.... Wait,,,, that is worse than "privey partisan."

BTW, they named the company in honor of the partisan fighters that resisted Hitler so hard in WWII that he basically left Serbia alone and went around them. Darn tough, smart people who make extremely good ammo.

The 'as it is written' is closest to it.  B/C/S is spelled as written and (like Russian) has extra letters to express sounds closest to our ears as "Sh" "Zh" Dz or Dj" and so on.

No extra 'y' sound like Russian - to the American ear it sounds like:

"Pervy Partisan"

Prvi means first.

Good question.  I thought I was the only one who couldn't pronounce it.  I feel better now.  When people at the range ask me what I am shooting I tell the other Russian shit, not Wolf.
