I'm moving 1/2 way across the country and the moving company won't move my ammo, so bye bye ammo.

I have 1000rds of Port 308 in battle packs- what it worth?

also have 1260rds of South Aftrican 308- value?

also have 360 rounds of "south american" 223 in a camo battlepack- any idea on what it is?

thanks!!!

also have 1260rds of South Aftrican 308- value? Same as above but not as much as Port

.223 would probably be Guatamalan. SA $450 [1260] or so, Port $400-$450.

Right now on gunbroker.com there are several people selling 200 round battle packs of Portuguese 308 for $95 and 140 round South African battle packs for $75.

Good lord that is just plain nuts!  I've got cases and cases of both sitting in my garage that I paid $120/case for not more than 1.5 years back

OKLAHOMA_LAWMAN,

Who would you recommend for shipping? I've got an entire pallet worth of stuff, both the carriers I contacted weren't interested in moving it.

With the current price off ammo, combined with availability issues, you would be better off putting in in the trunk of your car and taking it with you. I know I wouldnt have a fire sale, mine would get there when I did.

why not just pack the ammo in plain brown boxes marked garage stuff and load them on the truck. as far as i know there is no law against putting it in a moving truck for shipment. the movers don't need to know what is in your private boxes, it is non of their business.

since there is no danger in transporting ammo why would the movers even be told about it?
