That's easy... lock in load before you get in to your hunting area. If you try to ride the Bolt forward and tap the forward assist you can do it reasonably quiet, but the round and bolt my not be seated the way the weapon was designed to do it, with the full force of the recoil spring and inertia of the bolt.

That's why you press the forward assist 3 times.  Yes, the primary way is to let the bolt fly forward, but the in the event that the bolt doesn't go into battery, the FA is designed to 'propery chamber' the round.

I agree. Put the round in before you get there. That is one of the reasons for the safety. You can ride the bolt forward and then play with the forward assist, but i'll bet you'll find that the round isn't going to impact the target in quite the location you're sighted for.

Riding the round in doesn't get it in the chamber exactly the same as when the recoil spring slams it home. You sighted with spring fed rounds. Up close, it probably won't be enough to matter. Move out to a couple of hundred yards and that little bit of difference may mean the difference between a clean head shot and a clean miss.

Oh, and I would imagine that they all know you're there anywhere since you undoubtedly made plenty of noise getting there and all those coyotes heard that noise. One more little rattle/thump (or however you might want to describe it) won't make a difference. You'll have to let em settle down and move on to being concerned about something else after a few minutes anyway.
