how is this optic. looks rather plain and usable.....and the price isnt bad either.

The OEG has been surpassed by the Aimpoint, Eotech, and virtually any other red dot see through sight.

Didn't some pics show up here of some of the Son Tay raiders using OEGs? I thought someone might have commented about their father/uncle/something using one in the raid. I could be mistaken, but whatever.

Super old tech, but works...just not as well as EOTech or Aimpoint.

Yes, I remember reading that too within the last week, but don't remember if it was here. Was it in the new SWAT magazine article on CQB optics?

Yeah, I thought the optics in the pics looked a little different than OEGs. The concept looks identical though, so whats the difference in the Single Point and OEG other than shape?

So an OEG and a SinglePoint are basically the same sight, with different housings? Because that's what I was thinking, but I'm curious to know if my thinking is correct.
