is this adaptor the only thing i need to attach to my bushmaster xm15 rifle w/ factory handguards to allow a harris swivel bipod attach?

I would strongly advize the S Series because one too many times i have perched the feet on a hard surface(like a shelf/railing, etc...) and had to check left and right and one foot, after torqueing all to hell) would jump off the edge. The swivel(now i havnt used it so i do not know how much it would help, i am speaking in theory) would allow the feet to be firmly planted while allowing you horizontal movement of your rifle. Check out the hardware if you can before buying.

I currently use the standard Model L(9-13in) and just deal with its rigid ass.
