on my 6.5 grendel build I would like to use a chrome bcg. I plan on using a young nm chrome carrier, but the only grendel bolt available is not chromed.

who is a good company to use to chrome the bolt, ejector, and extractor?
would having the bolt chromed increase the dimensions enough to reduce reliability?
who has had their standard bolt hard-chromed and what was your opinion?

and yes I know about the hydrogen embrittlement, so I am looking for a company that also heat treats their work.

I sent mine to Metaloy in Arkansas. They have been applying chrome to gun parts for more than 20 years. Their chrome build up is less than .0003 per surface, no where near enough to hinder the function of your rifle.

I have used Armoloy with success. I hear Tripp and AP&W are also good.
