Faxon 8.5" 9mm barrel + Kaw Valley linear comp (normal length) under an ALG EMR V2 10" hand guard? or ought i go for the longer XL linear comp?

Barrel should protrude 8" and standard kvp linear comp should add right about 2" so it will come out to 10" and the rail at 10" will cover it all up and they should be roughly flush with each other. I would go the KVP XL comp and let the added 2" from the roughly 4" size of the XL out of the 10" rail.

This is a BA 8.3in 9mm barrel, Geissele 9.5in rail and a Kaw Valley 5.56 linear comp.  It sits 1/4in inside the rail.  The linear comp is 2-1/16in long.
