well i got a second lower from dennys and in comparison to some of the other brand lowers i have i am going to have to agree with denny, the new lowers are one of the better ones!!
to start i am a bushmaster follower and love their lowers and would pick them over any other when in doubt. majority of my armory are on bushmaster lowers. in no way am affiliated with dennysguns/global tactical other than my money always being sent to him. with his quality products and great customer service i seriously doubt that anyone needs to be bought anyways. the newest batch is much smoother finish all around, rollmarks are just about perfect and priced at a steal! some pics i snapped of it bare the new gts lower was not cleaned or oil in any of these pictures and after oiling it was slightly darker matching the keyhole upper very nicely and almost an exact match with the cmt upper recievers. second batch gts lower mated to .50 beowulf upper 2nd batch gts lower and bushmaster keyhole upper 2nd batch gts lower with colt 6450 9mm upper 2nd batch gts lower fire control pics some others to compare random pic of the front magwell, the two top ones are the gts lowers. rollmark pics gts 1st batch, notice the roughness and uneven rollmark. gts 2nd batch, perfect rollmark and smooth finish various other rollmarks. bushmaster L recoated with flat-black moly resin bfi lower AA beowulf lower, one of the nicest rollmarks i have seen and the gts is comparable. colt a picture of the two gts lowers together rear shot with the 1st batch on the left and new one on the right. in this pic you can see how smooth the second one is. trigger guard pic the two gts all of the lowers compared to the last few pics make the lower look sorta gray but it was due to it laying flat while the others are at an angle. 12'oclock sun was shining directly on it. also note that it hasnt been used or oiled like the others. with the second lower it will be built into a .22lr suppressed sbr for the wifey so as soon as paperwork return for it i will post more pics of it. the first one will be used to swap out the lower that is on my recon rifle built with dennys recon bbl. the lower is a great deal when compared to the others in the market and supporting a great guy at the same time. other lowers i have compared this to: dpms eagle arms rra bushmaster (both series) colt AA essential arms ameetec arms mega and the gts is a hard to beat in overall finish and quality. heres the link to globaltactical's lowers on the website. |

Wow!
Excellent report! Thanks for taking the time to put that together, it really shows the variations well. I think Denny just might have the best deal going on lowers right now. I have a 1st gen. that has a frighteningly similar sn# to yours... |

#170 ? |

Thank you for taking all your time on your report. This was a tremendous effort on your part. Your pictures are better than excellent. I need you up in KC to take all my pics Mine generally suck compared to your expertise with camera. Great detail, color, focus. Your close ups are incredible. Sincerely, I thank you once again. Denny EDITED TO ADD LINK TO THE EE. GUESS I WAS A DUMMY FOR NOT ADDING THE LINK WHEN I POSTED THIS.GTS LOWERS IN THE EE |

I will be getting some then. No more stupid deer logo. |

no logo period, and imho the new ones have a better finish and rollmark. |
I plan on buying one soon as I get some more money. I will let is sit around until I decide to build something.
Yes, the roll marks are deeper and better on this batch as are the selector markings.
Denny |
Very nice show and tell !
Those are some great looking lowers. Mike |
they are pretty much perfect! well i just found out the dpms stop production or whatever on there uppers so dont know what to go for now. |
Wow! Those rollmarks are way nicer compared to the first batch. Wasn't the first batch returned to Stag for re-anodizing? Maybe that's why the finish is different...
I like not having caliber markings and you don't see SAFE - SEMI on any AR's without AUTO following it. It's the little things that make it unique. I just mailed in my Form 1 for my GT Lower and I will be getting one in the next few months for a 'regular' sized rifle. Nice pics and write up. Good job! |
I talked late last night with Steve Sawyer of Tom Sawyer Mfg and I am going to send 11 of my lowers to him to be marked SBR[/b. He will also be adding the BATF required DennysGuns NKC, MO marking to the front of the magwell. I will register them as Short barreled rifles with ATF and when the Form 2's come back they will be available on a Form 3 for dealers or to individuals to be shipped to their class 3 dealers in their respective states.
There will be 10 for sale as one will be mine. Denny PS The SBR MODEL will be $215 to cover marking costs from Steve, shipping back and forth and paperwork etc. |
DAMN! I would have bought one!
The reason I hate my name on an SBR project; F HART <- Sound that one out... SOMEWHERE, CT |
I like it if it didnt have the GT logo
but I dont like most any logo Even my Favorite THe SNAKE caliber and SN# only on the magwell |
Excellent! I plan on getting a GT lower in the near future...
We are now working on shipping from the 3rd case Denny |
Just out of curiosity, at what serial number did the 2nd batch start from?
Denny,
I just spoke with you on the phone about a Noveske barreled upper and one of these lowers. I was going to order it from the website, but do I just need to fax my dealer's FFL? Thanks. |
i think mid 100's |
the markings on the reciever. |
Might have to try one of these out and see if they are all their cracked up to be.
Denny,
I was going to order one from the website, but do I just need to fax my dealer's FFL? Thanks |
Denny, how about this, can I pick up a stripped lower at your place to avoid instate shipping and transfer fees?
Yes, faxed FFLs are fine. Just be sure your name is printed on the FFL or covers sheet so I know whos order it is for. Denny |
Yes you can. Missouri sales tax will apply, but still it would be cheaper than the shipping and transfer fee. Denny |
Always thought the roll mark was a little cheesy. Mega or CMMG has a better finish, IMO.
The rollmark remark I can buy. Either you like em plain or with artwork. As to the finish, I don't think you can find a better one. Equal, but not better. Denny |

Sure. I don't know all the geography. So if you give me a call we can go thru them and see if one is near ya. Denny 816 809 9452 |
imo the mega finish is more like paint. looks as though it could chip off, i have two and they arent as good as the gts lowers.
but different strokes for different folks. |
I have some Mega as well as some Global Tactical lowers. Fit with CMT uppers is about the same with both ,( Meaning Great!). I like the Global Tactical finish much better and the machining is Damn Nice. Given a choice I'll use the GT's Hands Down..
