What is the difference and which one would you recommend, also is the colt accurized rifle a le or civilian model.

I have no idea what you want or need the gun for. So how can I make that choice.

I have never owned an ar 15 but i am going to purchase a colt in the near future. I would appreciate some opinions on the different colt models. With an ffl can you order directly from colt.

If your state has no restrictions on the configuration it has to be in you should be able to get the 6920.If I could buy them in that configuration here Id have one.Im lucky I had 3 prebans before the federal ban but the state has its own ban that mirrors it so no 6920s here.We can get the post ban MT6400 wich is like a post ban 6920.

No. Colt use an Authorized Distributor Program. Get the 6400C and unpin or change the stock. It has a desireable marked lower. M4 and later you can remove the comp. and have a F/S installed. |

Search the gun sites like gunbroker or gunsamerica. Price should be around $1200 - $1250 new. It is marked " LE military use only" right on the receiver, it's hard to miss. |

thought the 6921 had a 14.5 inch barrel witch reqires a sprecial fourm from the atf to purchase, and an additional cost. the 6920 requires no such fourm. |

on both MT6400C's i've owned, the receiver extensions aren't even drilled for a collapsible stock. |

the brake is pinned but not welded since the barrel isn't threaded. a punch and a hammer will take it right off.
