I got a chance to fire some recent ammunition purchases over the Chrony, so here's the results. All data was for 10 shots, temperature about 85 to 90 degrees.
20 inch 1/7 Colt:
55 fmj Rem UMC(L223R3) 3047 fps/ ES 282
55 fmj IMI (lot 00264/D) 3048 fps/ ES 62
Q3131A(lot VE21) 3218 fps/ ES 52
IMI M855(lot 00207/D) 3085 fps/ ES 50
WWB 45 jhp 3379 fps/ ES 94
16 inch 1/10 Ruger:
55 Rem 2920 fps/ ES 150
IMI 223(lot 00264/D) 2925 fps/ ES 114
Q3131A(lot VE21) 3059 fps/ ES 91
IMI M855(lot 00207/D) 2979 fps/ ES 53
WWB 45 jhp 3220 fps/ ES 59
The IMI from Wideners(lot 00264/D) shoots much more uniformly than Rem UMC! Both are light loads.
The ones in BOLD shoot very uniformly as far as velocity is considered. I reject reloads that give high Extreme Spreads(ES) as they cause excessive vertical stringing at 200 yards and beyond. HTH.
