working on rifle not sure what to go with barrel wise. this rifle is more for plinking, defense, less than 100 yard shots on varmints or coyotes.

nato chamber.

which barrel will last longer dont plan on doing tons of rapid fire but it will probably see some of it.

wish more companies would get awb sunset policies up and prices for preorders.

options for post ban chrome lined barrels stink though preban options look heck of alot better.

agravated with some companies crazily incomplete info on options.

read it already. was hoping to find info on chrome moly barrel life time.
have read bout some chrome lined barrels getting 100,000 rounds any truth to it?

read a article on THR bout a stress test on a Colt HBAR with 10,000 rounds
http://www.galleryofguns.com/shootingTimes/Articles/DisplayArticles.asp?ID=1205

like to know what is the maximum ammount of rounds through moderate usuage before I would have to ditch the barrel and get new one. 2"+ groups anything beyound 3" I doubt I would want the barrel any longer just get a AK.

I was told by a gentleman at Knob creek who had a very impressive selection of Select fire weapons ranging from Mp-5, Mg-42, 1919, Mp-53, M-4, M-16, Ak-47 that by the time you wear out the barrel on a SEMI-AUTO rifle you will be long gone and probably food for the worms.

Unless you are planning on bumping or getting a select fire weapon I wouldnt worry about it..
Oh yeah, I think someone else said this but it is the only way:

GO CHROME OR GO HOME.
