I dont need the NV capability, but I do want the AA version.  Tell me which model this is and where the least expensive supplier is.  Thanks!  Adam

The model you're looking for is the 511 (uses N batteries). I would contact Grant at G&R Tactical for a great price and service.

The 512 would be the AA version w/o night vision switch

He stated he wanted it to use AA batteries.  That would be the 512/552 models.  Grant doesn't have any in stock at this time.  There is also the Bushnell 52-0021 model which doesn't have the protective hood or rubber faceplate.  It does use AA batteries.  You can find it for around $250-$275.

The 512 is what I want I believe.  I dont want the Bushnell even though EoTech makes them.  I will keep checking at the G&R website.  Thanks for the replies!

Rather than rely solely on the web site, I'd suggest you call and speak directly with either Grant or Roxanne.

Purchased my 512 from Grant.  I'm very pleased...

texas tactical in the EE shipped me mine.  It was purchased by a fellow ARF.com member  in trade for my EA lower (He lives in CT).  I have the 511 which takes the N batteries.  I think it looks so much nicer (compact) than the AA model.  I couldn't care less about the fact that N batteries cost 10% more than AA's.  TT was selling the N battery model NV compatible AND the AA non-NVG compatible for the same price- $330 with free shipping.

I just picked up 2 512 Rev F units for $332.02 a piece at CSGunworks.  That was the best price I could find from an AR15.com supporting vendor who has it in stock.  Though, based on accounts here, Grant and SWFA are excellent vendors too.
