Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - center mags no fit

AR newbie here. I bought a brand new Bushmaster M4 type and I wanted some extra mags. I went to a gun show in town and picked up some 30rnd mags made by Center Industries.  these won't click into the reciever when loaded and the bolt is forward. Is that normal or are these just crap and need to stay away from my new baby? Thanks!

Normal.  Either download them 1 or 2 rounds for easier insertion, or put them mag in with the bolt locked back.  What happens is the bottom of the bolt carrier has to compress the top round in the mag slightly and when the mag is full, it's hard to compress any farther.
