this might be a stupid question.

but is there any law that refuses you from being able to own a gun (actually a rifle, if your currently unemployed.  I saved enough money up to buy it.  I was just wondering if they can refuse you for this reason.

Here is the copy of the 4473 form that you will need to fill out.  As long as you pass this form, your good to go.

Thanks for all your help.  I guess I was just being paranoid.  I do own two handguns bought them last year when I had a gun ( P-11 KelTech and a Swith and Wesson .45 4" barrel) I guess you can't help it if the place you work for is going out of business.  Don't go into the IT field well I should say the Web Design/Web Developer field.  I've been at 4 different jobs in the last 5 years of my life

Nope.  I'm currently "in between employment opportunities" and I just bought a new Colt.  As was stated above, it's not a criterion that is used on the form.  As long as you're not an unemployed CONVICT, you're in good shape.
