i have a standard buffer tube (for fixed stock) im trying to remove, and it wont come loose.  the stock and spring have been removed but the tube is just very tight.  are there any tricks to getting this thing off.
any help would be appreciated,

Heating the area with a bic lighter has worked for me.  Be careful if you use a vise, I would rather crunch a buffer tube than a receiver.  They make action blocks for AR's, but I haven't had to get any, yet.

not yet, i guess i should try the heat treatment, but what should i use to twist the tube w?  my channel locks dont seem to grip it very well at all..
