2 barrels , 2 builds. both are 20 inch pencils. 1/12s
one is c mp
other is c mp chrome bore
builds are m16a1 and late version 79,000# sp1
whick barrel would be most true to the application, or is it a "doesnt matter,they both came both  ways"?
i remember my new sp1 saying chrome bore, so i'm leaning that way

The tacked theads are a great resource. According to the SP1 database, the serial number you mentioned would be 1977-78. That would have a "c mp chrome bore" marked barrel. If the other has the "mp" between the sight legs and the "c" toward the muzzle, then it would be an early m16a1 barrel.
