Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - are the barrel nuts different on the AR10, DPMS LR, and DPMS .300 RSAUM?

I am new to the AR10, DPMS LR rifles.  But if the barrel nuts are all the same thread pattern, shouldn't all the FF tubes inter change?  I am assuming that they are different, and that is why they don't inter change.  So what are my options for the DPMS 300?

AR10=Armalite 308 rifle. They have a different pitch thread than the DPMS long range 308 and
also a different length gas system. It is 5/16" shorter than the AR10 one and way shorter in the carbine. The DPMS 300, I was told, uses the same tube and gas system as thier LR308.
The ARmalite 300 has a 2" longer gas system than the AR10 308.
