i have run across several bolt fron usge m16 carriers with the same bolt.  it has half cricles behind the lugs where colt puts its slash.  no other markings are on the bolt.  is it FN?  i have another bolt that is marked MPVC in a dot matrix punch.

The newer DPMS bolts with the D mark have half circles. Not sure who made them.

This company makes bolts that have something like a half circle but it is more like a half of a tear drop shape.

The MPVC is a Colt bolt.  MPC is pretty standard and the V is added as a date designator or something like that.  I'd be wary of unmarked bolts, but Colt has installed unmarked bolts in their civvy rifles from time to time, so who's to say what they are.
