Looking to see if anybody has used this lower yet? Fit? Finish?

Quite a few people have them. They've been out for quite a while now. The fit and finish on mine is nothing short of perfection.

The fit & finish on mine was perfect until I dinged it up assembling it.

There is one area in particular to take note of: The bolt catch. You need to grind off part of the corner of the bolt catch in order for it to clear the reinforced area around the mag release. If you don't, your bolt won't lock back on an empty mag (ask me how I know). Not only that, but the raised portion of the mag well in front of the bolt catch makes it very difficult to remove the bolt catch roll pin if you install it before grinding off the corner of the bolt catch (again, ask me how I know). Even the special pin punches that Brownell's sells (flat on one side) don't sit flat into the hole, and you risk marring the finish.

This thread explains it and has a pic of what I am talking about.

Just picked one up ( T15BDX ) and installed a RRA lower parts kit with 2 stage trigger. Checked the bolt catch prior to setting the roll pin, Close, but has full range of movement w/o any mods.
Thanks for the Good tip to check that.........TI should mention it.

My bolt catch fit fine also. I guess if you have a problem it's worth trying a different catch before grinding on the receiver. On another note, the BAD doesn't work with the BDX because of the shape on the left side, front of the trigger guard/magwell area. Someone may have figured out a fix, but I have not seen it.

+1 for GTG with Tactical Innovations products. I have 3 of their T-15 lowers and 2 of their barrels on my 10/22 rifles. Excellent company to deal with and they make great products whether you go with the standard T-15 or the billet T-15BDX.

Crossposting from my build thread...

I'd build another one with a T15BDX, possibly an SBR. They also have great customer service, and the fit finish, etc. of this lower is top notch.
