I was asked to check on this for a friend while I was on my cell phone. I HOPE this is what he said was written on the side of the rifle.

Anyone ever heard of a Palmetto lower?

I have had many - preban by Olympic. Usually milled from bar stock.
For slightly over $100 you can get a new one made with the same serial number as a A2.
