Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - alum 4-rail gas block?

does anyone make a 4-rail aluminum gas block? I am interested in saving a bit of weight.  Are there any significant downsides with going with an alum v. steel gas block?

An aluminum block will wear out faster due to gas cutting.  Remember that the gas block is redirecting very hot, very high-pressure gasses with every shot.  Steel holds up to this far longer, which is why nearly all gas blocks are steel.

We looked at them but the different expansion rates caused gas leakage after a few rounds.
