I'm getting tired of how long it takes to regain the sight picture when I shoot my 16 in. Colt HB target gun. Can anyone suggest a break that won't degrade accuracy too much ?

                   Thanks. Loader

I thought 16" target rifle was an oximoron [;)], but I doubt a muzzle brake will help much since the barrel is already very heavy -- heavier than the 20" M16A2.

In the affordable range the AK74 type holds the muzzle down well on AUTO fire and should be good on semi.  There are a couple very exotic brakes around, but they run well over $100, maybe $200.

I hate brakes, but if i had to get one it'd be the Ops Inc. brake.

For the money it's hard to beat the Miculeck brake from DPMS
