I've seen a couple different types of rails.. some look exactly like the T marked rails on top of a flat top upper, and others look like this:
 (First Samco M44) Will this style rail take those rubber ladders?

yes, but you will probably regret the purchase of a nonmilspec plastic rail system.

I wasn't talking specifically about that rail, just the style. that rail is a bit different from Magpul's style, for example  YHM uses the same style as that First Samco I posted.. just wondering if the ladders work on both styles. |

The First Samco M44 will accept the ladder style rail covers, but I've never really tried them because the M44 comes with a complete set of covers.
I just tried to put a set of the M44 covers on a YHM handguard and they will fit - BUT they will come off very easily - at least on mine they do. I'm not sure what you want to do, but as a rule of thumb, I would use M44 covers with First Samco and use the other style for everything else. |

I've used the ladder covers on the YHM style, as well as many others, and never had any problems. If the rails are even close to spec, the ladder panels will work. |
