I want to pin a f/h on my barrel to make it 16in but what is the best way to hide the spot weld? I am thinking about reparkerizing the f/h but Im afraid it will look worse than if just file the weld smooth and paint it. I dont want to use paint but what do I do? How does Bushmaster and the rest do it?

If you park over the spot weld, it will still be a different color, as different metals color different . Is it really that important? Is this a weapon or a Sunday Dress? Just shoot it

OK, no its not that big of a deal but just for info purposes, how does Bushy and others do it and make it look so good?

They bead blast and then repark the barrel.

We heat the spot up with a heat gun and give it a couple of shot of Oxflo cold blue. Does just fine. Excluding a standard installation with a steel barrel nut how ya gonna re-park the whole barrel?

Aluminum doesn't do well in the tank.
