First post your problem in the trouble shooting forum............... Dano will help you with the BCG and tell you if the wear is abnormal.

Second ....Please give as much info that you can when asking for help....so people can offer more specific solutions

Example: You say you "put some loads together that night"...............what exactly ??? The ammo you are using can be of great importance!

There is nothing to cleaning the bolt..........but I think the problem lies elsewhere. You don't say how many rounds you fired [ again details please ] but unless it was thousands of rounds....the bolt should be fine under normal conditions.

Since you changed the upper.......did you check to see if the exisiting Buffer spring in the stock was made to work the upper? The buffer spring is generally matched to the gas system.....and that is controled by the upper [ length of barrel & gas block ]

Trouble shooting forum will help you......

JF.

First, look here and give it a good cleaning.

You may have had a new everything, but it may have had a good amount of heavy preservative grease or oils on it that caked up quicky.  I would follow the above cleaning guide and give the whole upper a very good cleaning.  Make sure the key is tight on the carrier, lube it all up properly and try it again.

It may be a one time problem.  Remember, new AR bolt carrier groups tend to like to be run "wet" to break them in.
