I searched, but did not find this information.

What are the differences between the A1 and A2 FSB?

I do believe (I'm sure the experts will correct me) that the A1 front sight has two main differences;
-The A1 used a pencil barrel so the inside diameter is smaller on the sight.
-the sight itself uses 5 as opposed to 4 detents, so a different front sight tool is required.
Other than that they're basically identical.

Leg has it correct.

A1 Front sight pin is round, with 5 detents (1 moa per click for a 20" barrel)

A2 Front sight pin is square, with 4 detents (1.25moa per click for a 20" barrel).

Plus the barrel hole on the A1 is .625" IIRC vs the .72" for the A2 barrels.
