....is to many. I have 30-35 GI 30rnd mags all w/ green followers. I also have 15-20 20's.
Should there be a point when one has too many mags??

IMHO, I think that about a couple of dozen per firearm is about right.  Then again, I don't think it's possible to have too many mags----kinda like asking if it is possible to have too much money.

I think around a dozen per type of rifle is a good number-  but I think it's important to have at least 4 or so packed for long term storage and stored with a friend or relative, so if your house gets ripped off or befalls some other horrible  fate, you can have a few hi-caps for your replacement rifle in future days when there are no more.

Having too many mags is like bringing home unshot ammo from the range.

10 30-rounders is plenty.  If you can't 'adjust' your situation with 300 rounds, you'd better think about high-tailing yourself into the hills.  What you need a lot of is ammo.

(Note:  I have 20 30-rounders, 10 20-rounders, and a 5 for legal hunting)

How many to have on hand will depend on whether the AWB is replaced in 2004. If it is, and the mag ban continues, you have to consider that mags are a finite resource (although there are millions of them in circulation) and it may be worth having a lot of extras for your kids to use in, say, 40 years.  If the ban ends, I'll have a bunch of mags for sale at a big loss! At that point, I would think 20 30 rounders would be plenty (per rifle).

you should sell some of those mags and invest in a Beta-C mag...the problem solver.

How much money do you have?  I stopped counting at about 50.  I pick some up everytime I find a good deal.

No such thing as TOO MANY. Well, I guess if you can't get into your house because there are so many mags you can't get the door open. That may be too many. But I would argue that you just need a bigger house!

If your state is close to banning them or limiting capacity like they have done in MD, Hawaii, CA, etc., you can never get enough before the ban takes effect.

If you can remember how many you have without having to go and count them all, then you don't have enough yet.

If the AWB sunsets I thought it wouldn't affect the ban on hicaps. Is the hicap ban under the AWB or a different one?
