I stopped by a local shop last week and inquired on a RRA lower.
They told me $285.00. This is straight retail $ from RRA.
I stopped in again yesterday and asked about the same lower - quoted $299.00!
The price went up $14.00 in 1 week? They said the $14.00 is to cover the shipping costs.
Then I have to add state sales tax at 6.5%.
So total would be $318.44.
I passed on this deal.
I can buy this same lower from Eagle for $235.00 + 15.00 FFL transfer fee + shipping.
Am I just a cheap bastage or what?

Get a RRA complete lower or Stag Arms complete lower from Eagle. It's the best route to go.

No. You are just being an informed shopper. The shipping charge is BS. The shop probably also wanted to charge you extra for using a credit card.

Best Safe.

regardless of price having a dealer like that is gonna gouge no matter what, imagine how he would feel if you asked to have a rra lower transferred when he has one there.

find a new dealer

+1

Did they want to charge you an electricity charge and a mortgage charge too? Unless it's some special order that you requested, the shipping is part of their cost of business, not some charge to add on.

Buy somewhere else.

mark ups on products is expected from a store front since they have bills to pay but marking prices up after the price was written is another story.

as said in previous post, find another person to deal with

too much--+1 for finding another dealer or just transfering one from the EE/industry board
